Science Sub-Committee

The Science Sub-Committee reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the CHEO Research Institute on issues of policy or strategy. The main purpose of the Science Sub-Committee is to review and rank research proposals under its auspices, ensuring scientific relevance and merit’ and, to review such proposals according to established protocols. They review proposals submitted for resident/student internal funding and, at the request of the investigators, other proposals prior to their submission to external granting agencies. Recommendations are forwarded to the Research Institute Administration and the Finance Sub-Committee.

The Science Sub-Committee also reviews proposals at the request of the Research Ethics Board for scientific relevance and merit.
