- Reporting to and supporting the Research Institute (RI) Board of Directors, the CEO & Scientific Director of the CHEO Research Institute is supported by RI Program Directors and a team of Scientists responsible for specific research portfolios within the RI, as well as the RI’s operations team that manages the performance of the RI’s financial, human and operational resources. CHEO’s Vice President, Research is a key member of CHEO’s executive team and reports to CHEO’s President & CEO, ensuring the RI’s strategic alignment with the Hospital’s strategy, and he/she actively participates in all hospital-wide matters, including strategy, general operations, finances, quality, risk management, performance management, human resources, information technology, etc.

RI-18-036 - Project Coordinator
- The CHEO asthma program is a new program intended to improve the quality of care provided for children with asthma who are seen at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and to support capacity for managing children with asthma in the Ottawa region. Within CHEO, the program aims to improve care for children with asthma seen in the outpatient clinics as well as those admitted to hospital or seen in the emergency department. Individuals at CHEO who provide care for children with asthma form a multi-disciplinary group including physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and others.

RI-18-038 - Research Technologist for CHEO RI Advanced Microscopy and Stereology Facility - We are looking for an individual with histology, microscopy and animal care experience to conduct experiments in our CIHR/Heart and Stroke Foundation-funded laboratory. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Care and injection of rats, preparation of lungs and other tissues for histology, thin section cutting, staining and immunohistochemistry, fluorescence and brightfield microscopy, application of stereology software (necessary training provided).

RI-18-035 - Research Coordinator - The Research Coordinator coordinates one or more studies/clinical trial or a large multi-site trial for one or more Principal Investigators. This would include administration of the study/clinical trial, management of data collection, budgetary monitoring and training and supervision of study personnel.
