Current Research:
Dr. Neto is involved in numerous ongoing trials in the Emergency Department. She is the site investigator for The OUCH trial: Randomized clinical trial of oral analgesic utilization for childhood musculoskeletal injuries. She is supervising resident projects on the use of intranasal fentanyl in the ED and on communication at transition of care in the ED. Dr. Neto also acts as co-investigator for two studies: Adherence of Pediatric Emergency Department Physicians to the Pediatric Septic Shock Guidelines and Adverse Events in the Emergency Department: a prospective cohort study.

Biography:
Dr. Neto specializes in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and is the Associate Medical Director for the Division of Emergency Medicine at CHEO. She is also the chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialty Committee.
