Current Research:
Dr. Bassal's research activities focus on the late effects of cancer treatment on childhood cancer survivors and their impact on future health, pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), and the treatment of children with Down Syndrome and ALL.

Biography:
Dr. Bassal is a Clinical Investigator at the CHEO Research Institute, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa. She is a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at CHEO and is the Director of the Pediatric Oncology Survivorship Program. She completed her medical school and pediatric residency at McGill University and her hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Colorado, Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Her expertise is in acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and long term complications of childhood cancer therapies.
