Current Research:
Dr. Huth is project lead of the development, evaluation, and dissemination of a national complex care curriculum as part of an interdisciplinary team within the Canadian Pediatric Society. She is the site Principal Investigator in a randomized controlled trial evaluating the effectiveness of participation in a standardized curriculum on acquisition of clinical skills in complex care for pediatric residents. She is using qualitative methods to explore changes in residents' self-efficacy following participation in this educational intervention. Dr. Huth's interest is investigating strategies to foster competency in the care of children with medical complexity.

Dr. Huth is an academic pediatrician and medical educator in the Division of Pediatric Medicine at CHEO. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa. She received her master's in medical education from Harvard Medical School, where she identified needs for standardized training in handover communication to support optimal patient care. Dr. Huth seeks to improve quality of care for children with medical complexity through development and evaluation of innovative curricula, quality improvement and research initiatives.
